Workflow Templates: Overview
The Calibo Accelerate platform provides a powerful and intuitive workflow management system that streamlines approval processes across various stages of product development. By implementing approval workflows, organizations can ensure transparency, compliance, and structured decision-making before critical actions are executed.
With Calibo Accelerate’s user-friendly interface, creating workflow templates is easy. You can define multiple approval stages, assign specific approvers, and save templates for reuse. You can then attach these templates to various events at the platform level and the product level to standardize approval processes and maintain governance.
You can create workflow templates at two levels:

Global Workflows: These workflows are managed at the platform configuration level. You can enable global workflows for events such as product creation, portfolio management, policy enforcement, and budget approvals. Global workflows apply across all products.

Product-Specific Workflows: Designed for specific products and their development phases, these workflows are managed within the Workflow Designer at the product level. You can enable these workflows for events such as business requirement approvals, design validation, technology addition and removal, technology deployment and promotion, and Terraform run execution, among others.
By using workflow templates, you can enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency in your product development activities. These reusable templates not only reduce redundant effort but also help you comply with your internal governance policies.
