Configure Amazon SQS

Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) is a message queuing service that Lazsa leverages to send messages. As an end-user you poll the queue in AWS to receive the messages. Messages in SQS are called notifications in the Lazsa Platform.

In order to use the SQS method of notifications, you must configure an instance of Amazon SQS in the Lazsa Platform.

  1. Log on to the Lazsa Platform and navigate to Configuration.

  2. Click Cloud Platform Tools and Technologies and then click Systems Integration.

  3. Click Modify on Amazon SQS.

  4. Provide the following information:

    • Name for the SQS instance that you are configuring.

    • Description that has additional information about the instance.

    • Region in which the SQS service is available.

    • If you want to use Laza Orchestrator Agent to connect to the SQS instance, then enable the option - Connect using Lazsa Orchestrator Agent. Do the following:

      • Select AWS Secrets Manager.

      • Provide the Secret Name.

    • Master AWS Account with which the SQS service is associated.

    • External ID of the AWS account which is used to create the cross-account role.

    • Cross Account Role ARN key.

  5. Click Test Connection to verify that the connection to the configured instance is successful.

  6. For securing your credentials with a password, enable Secure configuration details with a password.

  7. Click Save and Activate.
